I can’t not mention the absolute nonsense that went on in proposed trades this week. Jen was not having any of it as absolutely ludicrous trades were offered for the high scoring Amon-Ra - yes I am the main culprit, but who wouldn’t have traded Amon-Ra St. Brown for Jakobi Meyers? The tenuous, yet hopeful attempt to offload Drake London and Brian Thomas Jr to any one was fun. I tried to pick up the dropped Goff again, but failed. Thankfully he also failed for Andy which made me feel slightly better. After all that though, it was no dice for Jen, as her team still has about as much life in it as a vegan hotdog - RIGHT DALI? Anyways, don’t be afraid to trade guys, nobody will have any comment about it what-so-ever. Also, thanks to Mike for dropping Wilson. Perfect.

I have to start here. Reece. What. Is. Going. On. I am not sure I can fully trust someone that plays Trevor Lawerence (7.78pts) ahead of Lamar Jackson (26.02pts). You’ve been brainwashed mate. All that Jags propaganda is getting in your head. An absolutely highlight free week for you, leaving the rest of the league scratching their heads wondering if you are even trying this year? I think it’s safe to say, playing Reece is this year’s gimme. Nice one to Zan, but I am reluctant to praise anyone for beating Reece. It just doesn’t seem right. Nice pick up of Skattebo (24.10pts) a tidy return for him and one that looks likely to pay dividends over the next 2-4 weeks. Top.

Week 3 Score: EverybodyNeedsGoodNabers (130.26) 1-2 // A Tadd McShonkey (108.72) 0-3

As Rich said over the weekend, “I feel like I’m getting a serious case of ‘The Dali’s’” which seems apt as he is defeated in the week's closest match up and moves to 0-3 this week. Rich lost by 21.54pts and missed out on 34.0pts, proving as ever, that picking the right team against the right opponent is key. Highest bench scorer Omarion Hampton (23.90pts) and Ricky Pearsall (19.70pts) could have made the difference, but didn’t. Our reigning champion did well to come through this one as it looked like he may have thrown it away, if it wasn’t for Jahmyr Gibbs (26.90pts) in the Monday night game. At long last, Matt Hulme© picked the right players and got his first W. The final congrats to Rich, who has the most distinctly average team (or most consistent) of the league so far having hovered between ~105-108pts in every game this season. ✌🏻

Week 3 Score: Game of Throws (136.88) 3-0 // Breece Lightning (90.86) 2-1

Andy came into week three with a new QB in Goff (11.68pts) and was hoping that Ja’Marr Chase (7.90pts) might repeat his week 2 exploits. Sadly it was not to be with a combined 19.58pts and a fairly upset Andy, as his once wonderful stack, fell apart. If it wasn’t for Jonathan Taylor (32.80pts) and Jordan Mason (23.60pts) it could have been a different story. Mike’s third week wasn’t great, no player got over 20pts and under performance was rife through the whole team - under 10pts from both -RBs, -TE, -FLX (WR) and your -K. You did drop Wilson (24.40pts) though and he collected some nice points for my bench. Good choices all around. Thanks Mike - appreciate it.

Week 3 Score: Multiple Goregasms (101.22) 2-1 // Dali’s Salvadors (82.45) 2-1

The battle of South Shields. The loser buys a pint at the 4.6 star rated, The Steamboat pub on the Tyne. The spoils go to Besty this time around in the week's closest matchup. Dali had a tough week, picking up his first loss with a blank scoring CeeDee Lamb (0pts) and four other players scoring under 8pts. Dali had the week's healthiest bench - 70.94pts, missing out on 28.92pts and a win, if he had picked the optimal lineup. However, Besty pretty much had this one in the bag with far greater consistency across his lineup. Leaving David Montgomery (29.40pts) and Mark Andrews (27.10pts) on the bench was an oversight in an otherwise straight forward match up for the two Geordies. Dali conceded early if any of you were unaware. Sure.

Week 3 Score: Third Time Charmers (177.84) 3-0 // SnowshufflerJr (84.09) 0-3

My favourite matchup of the week. Not just because I won. No no no. It helped for sure, but it was very fun to see my highest scorer (and the league’s highest scorer this week) being the Minnesota Vikings DEF with an astounding 38.0pts. Unheard of and I am certain never to be seen again. Unbelievable stuff really. I should have played Wilson (24.40pts) over Mike Evans (13.30pts) to add to the embarrassment, but sadly it was not to be. Not sure what to say about Jen’s team. Hurts (28.04pts) and St. Brown (20.70pts) aside, it was a dismal showing from the veteran coach. Not sure London (10.50pts) or Thomas (7.50pts) will ever get picked up on the trade block, despite how good that budget trade analyser tool leads anyone to believe. Not exactly advertising themselves well. Will Jen ever turn this around?

Week 3 is now over. Winning and losing streaks have been established and three players with a serious case of the Dali’s. A hard thing to shake off, but my money is on Rich to come good before Jen and Reece. Especially Reece. Rich and I are off to Dublin this weekend for our 40th Birthday celebrations - yes yes, difficult to believe either of us are 40, mostly full heads of hair and not a bad back in sight. Hopefully we can see Dali for that all important Guinness 0.0% and also check in on Jen to see if she is ok after this week's loss and her (I am assuming) holiday in Greece. We will share some photos if we aren’t too full of Guiness. Who’s going to pick Aaron Rodgers for this week…surely he is going to have a stormer? Reece, if you’re even reading this, you’re first up on the waivers. Make better choices.
